Ironbridge Blists Hill Audio Visual Installation

The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust approached Spark Media to make a new introductory audio-visual production to be displayed on a loop across 3 large screens at the entrance of their Blists Hill Victorian Town museum site in Shropshire. 

They gave us access to their extensive archive filled with old photography and illustrations from the time period. The industrial era lends itself to an eclectic, slightly chaotic style, and the archival imagery allowed us to follow that through with a collagey look which utilised a variation of animation techniques, from 2d character animation, to parallaxing and tweening.

This project was also recognised as a finalist in the Best Storytelling category for the Midlands Marketing Awards.
